For the education and benefit of our Physician Assistants
Welcome to the website for the Albany – Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program Alumni Association, Inc. Please consult our Table of Contents page for information regarding our Vision and Mission Statements, a brief history of the Physician Assistant (PA) profession, a brief history of the PA Program at the Albany Medical College including its previous joint affiliation with the Hudson Valley Community College, and a brief history of our PA Alumni Association itself.
This website also contains information that our PA Alumni will find useful in maintaining contact with their PA Alumni Association as well as connecting with their fellow PA Alumni.
We also, as a fundraising effort, offer to our PA Alumni, their families, and the general public a Merchandise Store which contains a variety of popular apparel/clothing and novelty items for purchase. Your generosity in purchasing items from our Merchandise Store provides the essential financial resources to support the Mission of the PA Alumni Association, particularly our efforts in supporting the PA Students during their concentrated 28 month education program to become practicing PAs.
Origins of Physician Assistant education begin in Albany, New York. Since 1972, members of our alumni association have progressively represented the highest aspirations of the PA profession. Collaboration between Albany Medical College and the Hudson Valley Community College has produced altogether more than 1200 physician assistant graduates and an enduring legacy of quality clinicians across America.
“It shall be the Mission of the Albany – Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program Alumni Association, Inc. to support and promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between Alumni and Students at the Center for Physician Assistant Studies at the Albany Medical College.”
“We envision that the Albany – Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program Alumni Association, Inc. will provide resources that facilitate education, networking, and profession growth for our Alumni, current students and the PA profession.”
